Let Chocolate Be Your Messenger of Love

Duc De Praslin

Don't say it with words, rather let chocolate from Duc de Praslin do the talking for you. Chocolate truffles, dark bitter chocolate cream coated in dark chocolate rolled in cocoa powder; caramelized almonds coated in chocolate and cocoa powder; coffee beans coated with chocolate or roasted macadamia nut coated either with dark, milk or white chocolate.

Or if your sweetheart prefers chocolate pralines then take pleasure in these selections; 'Favorite', layers of almond praline and marzipan covered in dark chocolate decorated with blanched almonds; 'Pompadour', a rich almond paste enrobed in chocolate, 'Feuilletine', a crispy hazelnut praline and ganache enrobed in chocolate and topped with a half roasted hazelnut, to 'Camee', a fondant cream with Grand Marnier liquor. .

Whether your preferences are milk chocolates, dark chocolates, chocolate pralines or chocolate truffles, these Valentine's Day confections will surely send a message of love.

Visage

Eric Perez is a passionately creative chocolate maker always looking for ways to make something different. "Giving a box of chocolates as a Valentines gift can be a touch formal," says Eric. "I wanted to make something that was personal from the giver to the receiver, not to be shared, so I came up with the idea of a chocolate lollipop. Next I looked for a way to present the Valentine's message to that special someone. Inspired by a Chinese fortune cookie, I decided to attach a raspberry milk chocolate heart to the lolly with the message inside, which the receiver has to bite to read. Given 48 hours we can personalize that message. The lollipop will also be decorated with dried fruits, hazelnuts, candied fruits and crystallized lemon peel."

"For those who need to give a box of chocolates, I am making a chocolate heart shaped box filled with either pralines or chocolate almonds so everything is edible."
