Delices
Located in Ruamrudee Village, this two-storey
building is styled with warm sun-kissed yellow painted walls with
Vietnamese artifacts. Additionally, a circular stairway leads to more
dining upstairs and high paneled glass windows contribute to an airy
feel of the restaurant.
We kick started our meal with ‘Thit la lot’,
charcoal grilled brochettes of pork wrapped with betel leaf and
‘Tamarind soft shell crab’, deep fried soft shell crab served with
tamarind sauce amid a pile of vermicelli; both these dishes had a nice
balanced taste. For our next course, we enjoyed ‘Ca chien nuoc mam’,
deep fried whole fresh sea bass served with special Vietnamese sauce as
well as ‘Com chien xa xiu’, Vietnamese fried rice with pork, Vietnamese
sausage and mixed vegetables.
The menu has good variety and a division of
categories for customers to enjoy. Moreover, there is a small selection
of Australian, Chilean, French and Californian wines plus house wine
that is available by glass or the bottle.
Delices is
the place to head out to for a Vietnamese flair.
