My dining companions and I were seated outside on comfortable pillowed cane chairs. We commenced our evening with a bottle of Ruffino Orvieto Classico Doc in the company of three delightfully refreshing appetizers; ‘tuna tartar’, ‘Fuzio salad’ and ‘marinated snow fish’. To savor in the other dishes that were coming our way we had a bottle of Rubizzo Chianti Colli Senesi DOCG Rocca Delle Macie. The ‘risotto red wine with duck breast’ had a good taste combination with a hint of creaminess that was not overpowering. A selection of main courses was presented for us to share; ‘swordfish’, ‘deer with foie gras’, and salmon. The deer with foie gras was a specialty of February with Chef Paolo Petris introducing novel delicacies monthly. An array of desserts of ‘caramelized banana’, ‘apple tart’, and ‘tiramisu’ were all heavenly plus ended up being a good round up of the meal with coffee.
