Roadhouse BBQ, Steakhouse & Grill
A family friendly restaurant and bar set on three
levels. On the ground floor is the pub and restaurant serving
traditional Western BBQ dishes amid live music played daily by local and
international artists whereas the second floor is a quieter zone with
the third floor being a sports bar.
We started with some of the coldest draught beer in
town, wonderfully refreshing. The menu is on a large easy to read, self
standing board that the service staff placed on our table.
To start, great tasting ‘Buffalo wings’ with a hot
sauce and a house specialty ‘crab cakes with Creole mustard sauce’ that
took Chef Dana six months to get his kitchen team to gently fold the
ingredients together for this great flakey texture. The ‘steak chili’
only has small cubes of meat with no beans to fill it out.
For the main course, ‘grilled pork chop with a red
onion marmalade’ and ‘char grilled New Zealand lamb chops with
ratatouille and mint red wine sauce’. We finished our meal with a
delicious ‘Key Lime Pie’.
