That's Entertainment
As Bangkok once again returns to normal and tries to put behind it the tragic events of New Years Eve, it is our duty to get out and start enjoying ourselves once again. And with the relatively cool spell still continuing it's a perfect time for night time activities, especially those that involve sitting in Bangkok's entertainment venues.
One such venue being Hari's Bar at the Holiday Inn Silom, this recently renovated drinkery is offering buy one get one free during happy hours between 4.30pm and 8pm every night. And for those still upright in their chair you can hang around and listen to the new jazz band 'Cool Jazz' who will start at 8.30pm nightly except Sundays.
A similar deal of buy one get one free can also be had at Conrad's 87 Plus only this time it runs from 8.30pm to 10.30pm and the live music is brought to you by 'The Unit' a high energy band comprising of 6 members with a female vocalist.
At CM2 there's always good deals going on not least the Sunday night CHUG-A-JUG where for every pitcher of beer you buy you'll get one free in return. But it's in March that you'll get only one chance to see UK's DJ Gotti performing at CM2, he's been the resident DJ of Majorca's mega-club BCM's for the last seven years and really knows how to get a party started. The party starts on March 7th and tickets cost Baht650 including two standard drinks.
For those who like Mojitos then a trip to Angellini could be in order as they have just started serving this Cuban favourite in a host of different styles. Flavours such as Peach, Kiwi, Raspberry, Mango, Strawberry, Watermelon and Tom Yum can be enjoyed while listening to the sounds of Ms.Lilibeth and band.
At STUDiO Bar Pathumwan Princess the cocktail menu has just seen an overhaul and now features over 100 different brews, the menu also features a section dedicated to unique spirits from around the world including Peruvian Pisco, Absinthe and Bison Grass Vodka.
For sports fans then a trip out of the capital could be in order at the end of the month as the Johnnie Walker Classic lands in Phuket, big names such as Ernie Els, Adam Scott, Retief Goosen and Paul Casey will be there trying to pick up the title.
Tickets are 350 Baht for a day pass or 750 Baht for a full 5 day pass and can be purchased at www.thaiticketmaster.com; the tournament starts on Feb 28th with the Pro-Am.
