The Dining Room
With a garden ambience, it’s a comfortable relaxed
full dining experience. Dishes include Thai and Asian cuisine, fresh
seafood, Japanese corner and a steam counter for Asian dumplings. There
is an a la carte menu available, if required. A jazz duo, piano and
clarinet will do their best to play requests from a repertoire of over
1,000 hits until midnight daily.
A choice of two soups ‘Chinese fish maw’ and a
‘western cream of tomato’, the latter a simple dish made well. Then ‘pan
fried foie gras’ that was offered with the choice of either apricot or
rhubarb sauce.
They offer a selection of four to five different
varieties of roast meats and fish, carved on request, with a full
selection of condiments, sauces and gravies on the counter. There are
four chefs working in the show kitchen with a fifth working between the
service areas to assist guests.
To finish, a wide selection of desserts of which
included ‘coconut brulee’ and ‘rhubarb crumble’.
