Koh Samui Living

With a constant year round temperature of 30 degrees Celcius, life in the tropics is relaxed and carefree. Far removed from the troubles and turmoils of today's world, permanent or semi-perminent residence in Koh Samui is as fulfilling as the dream promises to be. In fact, we have all the conveniences of a modern western society without the headaches and for those of you who need to keep in touch with business or family back home, then modern communications have made it a small world indeed.

Not all expatriate residents base themselves here permanently, some with active businesses interests choose to withdraw to their island sanctuary 3 to 6 months a year to kick back and recharge before heading back into the lions den so to speak. Others simply calculated what they have against what it would take to move here permanently, take the plunge and begin living the dream.

With the volume of tourism increasing every year, land and house values are constantly rising with no visible plateau in sight. Market forces indicate that any worry about investment losing ground would be totally unsubstantiated.

With an international Marina under construction, Bangkok Airways constant fleet, flight destination and terminal expansion, the astonishing Golf Course and the annually international music festival one can only draw the conclusion that Koh Samui is in a phase of rapid and prolonged development.

There is also a number of major hotel chains developing projects around the island, the well established Tesco Lotus Superstore, the Chaweng Beach Lakeside and one way traffic system project and Lamai Beaches IT Complex.

Any discerning buyer come investor would naturally have a lot of questions about what it takes to own a piece of paradise. The answers to these questions are simple and straightforward. Yes, you can excerpt control over your own land and developers do offer property management services so that for the duration you are away they will maintain and rent your property out for a generous return.

So, whom do you talk to when it comes to property development on and around the island? Well, we sincerely recommend that you look to developers with credentials.
