Motorcycle Story

Well, here we go again. It's that time of the year again Happy Songkran. If you are in town during this time, the best advice I can give you is to not be riding in town from the 13th thru the 19th. It's just not worth the risk. Although it seems the Thai officials are trying to increase awareness of how dangerous this time of the year is in terms of traffic fatalities etc. it will never deter the locals from having a good time on the day that is the equivalent of our New Year. It's a great time to try to get your ride in for any much needed service. A quick thank you to Nuom and Lee from Wranglers who were able to help me with some tricky electrical problems and picked up the bike on the road twice. For all of you who may not know, they have a 24 hour pick up service if you find yourself stranded out there. (Harley's)

NEWS FLASH
An eagle eye on motorists
BANGKOK: -- Those who witness motorists using mobile phones while driving can now submit pictures as evidence at the Traffic Police Division's website, www.trafficpolice.go.th, a senior traffic police officer said Tuesday.
However, Police Lt. Col. Phanu Kerdlarpphol did not say if these good Samaritans would be rewarded for participating in this "Golden Eye Traffic Policemen" project.
Violators will be given these photos along with their traffic tickets and will be required to pay the fine when they renew their annual vehicle registration papers.
